Your pen tablet can operate wirelessly or in USB mode, but not both at the same time. Wireless mode is activated when your pen tablet is properly configured for wireless operation and the USB cable is disconnected.
When the pen tablet is configured for wireless mode and the USB cable is disconnected, the tablet searches and connects to the wireless receiver within 4 seconds. If the receiver is not found, the tablet enters sleep mode. A USB connection deactivates wireless mode, and activates USB mode.
Press the power button briefly to wake the tablet from sleep mode.
The battery status LED indicators for Intuos and Intuos Pro are located on the back of the tablet beside the wireless receiver storage compartment, near the right or left corner of the tablet.
The LED indicator light is:
Amber when the USB cable is connected and the battery is charging.
Green when the USB cable is connected and the battery is fully charged.
Off when the USB cable is disconnected and the tablet is operating wirelessly.
Fully charge the tablet battery. When the battery is fully charged as shown by the green LED, disconnect the USB cable to work wirelessly.
Make sure the tablet is within range of your computer.
Press the power button on the wireless module. A wireless connection should be established within 4 seconds.
Pairing is not required. The wireless module and wireless receiver are factory paired and work as a set.
Your pen tablet can operate wirelessly for up to 10 meters (33 feet) away from your computer.
Although it is not necessary for your computer to be "in sight” of the wireless receiver, interference from certain other devices or metallic objects located along the line of sight can negatively impact the tablet performance.
When starting up your computer, wait until your operating system has finished start-up, and turn on the wireless module (if not already on) to begin working wirelessly.
The use of wireless devices is regulated in most countries. If you will be using wireless operation while traveling, check with regulatory authorities for any restrictions that apply to your product in the countries that you visit.
