Application-specific settings

Settings assigned to customizable components can be further customized for a specific application. This makes performing actions in the application faster and easier.

The Application list in Wacom Tablet Properties enables you to add individual applications, and then tailor your customizable component settings for that application. For example, if you select an application icon and change the pen settings, the changes will apply to the pen only while you are using that application.

Application-specific settings can be used with all Wacom devices, and with the ExpressKey Remote device.

Create an application-specific setting

1. Open Wacom Center.
2. Select your device in the Devices sidebar.
3. In the main content area, select the settings for which you want to create an application-specific setting. You will proceed to Wacom Tablet Properties.
4. In the Application list, click the + button.
5. In the Currently Open Applications box, select an application for which you wish to create custom settings, or browse to select the executable file of any application installed on your computer.
6. Click OK.
7. With the newly added application icon selected in the Application list, create your settings for the selected Tool.
   Note: After adding an application, its icon appears in the Application list whenever the associated tool is selected in the Tool list.

Remove an application-specific setting

1. Open Wacom Center.
2. Select your device in the Devices sidebar.
3. In the main content area, click the tool settings for which you wish to remove the application-specific settings.
4. In the Application list in Wacom Tablet Properties, select the application you want to remove.
5. Click the Application list - button.
6. Click Delete to confirm your selection. The selected application is removed from the list, along with any custom tool settings.
7. To remove all application-specific settings from a tool, select the tool in the Tool list, then clicking the - button. Next, place the tool back on the device. The tool will be added back to the Tool list with its default settings.
