Test the creative pen display
After you have connected your pen display to your computer and installed the driver, if nothing appears on the pen display or the pen does not move the cursor, check the connections and tools listed in the steps below.
If nothing appears on the pen display after you have connected it to your computer and installed the driver, check the following connections and elements.
- Turn on your computer and wait until it is ready to use.
- Verify that any power, data, and video cables are properly connected, and that their LED status lights are on.
- If your pen display is connected to your computer, check the USB connection.
- For best results when troubleshooting no power to the pen display, plug the pen display directly into the USB port on your computer and avoid using an external USB hub (or hub device with USB ports). When the pen display is working properly, you may be able to move the connection back to a USB hub, if applicable.
- Make sure the USB cable is securely connected to an active USB port on your computer.
- Check the pen display USB cable for damage.
- If a status LED does not illuminate after your computer is on and has finished booting up, your USB port may be disabled. Verify that you have connected the pen display to an active USB port.
- Connect the pen display to a different USB port, or to a USB port on another computer, and see if the problem persists.
- Test touch, if your pen display supports touch. Attempt to move the screen cursor by tracking your finger across the surface. Then tap to select an item.
- If touch still refuses to start, run the Wacom driver check using the instructions on the Wacom Support page. If the diagnostics test is okay and touch gestures still refuse to start, re-install the driver.
- Check the ExpressKeys and Rocker Ring.
- Check any other tool(s) you may be using.
- If any of these tests fail, please contact Wacom Support.
- After testing, you can customize your device to reconfigure your pen display and tools for any settings you may have been using.
